Apr. 13 th -27 th : The Life You’ve Always Wanted
The heart of Christianity is transformation–a relationship with God that impacts not just our “spiritual lives,” but every aspect of living.
Teacher: Dave Forward
Continuing Series: S.H.A.P.E.
Finding and fulfilling your unique purpose for life.
Have you discovered the unique purpose that God has for your life? This class is designed to take you to that next level of purpose- to reveal how God has designed you, and help you see how that design fits the intention for which you were created. Teachers: Nathan Buurma and Tom Carpenter
Beginning May 4 th: Prayer: Does it Make Any Difference?
Does prayer work? If God knows everything, what is the point of prayer? Does prayer work the way we think it should? What can we really expect from prayer? This class will explore the questions surrounding prayer that you may wonder aboutbut not know who to express. Teacher: Dave Forward
Worshiping with Heart, Mind, and Soul
Looking ahead in worship
Continuing the Series based on Luke’s version of the “Sermon on the Mount” and the parables in Luke. Do we have what it takes to really be a disciple of Jesus?.
Sunday, April 27 – The Unfaithful Manager. This is perhaps the most difficult of Jesus’ parables to understand, asking the question: “Are you ‘unethical’ enough with your wealth?”
Sunday , May 4, Ascension Sunday – The Wise Investor. All Christians get ‘one thing’ to invest. How’s your investment doing? We will celebrate the Ascension of our Lord with the Lord’s Supper.

Clergy Renewal Update
Dr. Carter began his three month sabbatical on March 31. His time away will include both the clergy renewal program and three weeks of vacation. He returns to Faith Church on Monday, July 21, and his next Sunday with us will be July 27.
Pastoral services, including worship leadership, will be provided by Dr. Kraft, who will be working full-time during Dr. Carter’s absence.
In order to provide a complete rest from his pastoral responsibilities, members are reminded not to contact Dr. Carter about ministry related topics. Rather, all are encouraged to hold him in prayer, that this will be a refreshing and regenerative experience.
Each week we will describe in brief form what Dr. Carter will be doing as his clergy renewal program progresses.
Weeks 4 & 5: April 21-May 1 – reading, reflection and rest at home.
Week 6: May 2-9 – auditing a Fuller Seminary D. Min. Course in England: “Encountering New Ways of Being Church.”
Dr. Carter plans to make entries almost daily on his web log, reflecting on his reading and experiences, at http://rickcarter.wordpress.com.. You can also go on the Faith Church webpage, www.faithchurch.org and click on “Pastor Rick’s Renewal Web log” in the upper right hand column.
