First, there is the:
6:05 AM Men's Group.
This group of men meets every Wednesday morning at 6:05 AM at the church for bible study and men's fellowship. We open with the Promise Keepers pledge, prayer, and a guitar accompanied song. Following the sing-along, we enjoy coffee, bagels, and donuts to stave off the hunger so we can then spend 30 to 45 minutes in bible study. We are currently studying Romans. We finish by 7:00 AM so that working men can get to work on time. Many of us cannot make each week, so we try to keep the study open and relaxed.
It is a great opportunity to band together with Christian men seeking fellowship and sharing. Come on out next Wednesday and you will be welcomed and not disappointed.
Second, there is the:
Priority One Men's group.
Priority One meets every other Thursday morning, at 9:30AM,
at the church, for bible study based on a current book related
to Christianity in men's life. Recently we completed the "The
Man in the Mirror" by Patrick
Morley. Beginning February 1, 2007 a study of "The Practice
of the Presence of God" with Spiritual Maxims by Brother
Lawrence.
This is a group of senior men, most of whom are retired, and do not want to get up at 5:30AM. They would rather sleep a bit later, and have a real breakfast at the Medport Diner, following the meeting. If this fits your regimen "Come on Out."
John Groth , the NJ/DE director for Priority One Foundation, a men’s ministry, leads the class. John also serves as a Chaplain at Dover AFB. |
